These two works share character design as an element that I took into account. The first one is a fantasy inspired character. The second one is a mathematics inspired character. The Inventor’s Apprentice is a painting that showcases a character that was inspired by fantasy stories such as Dungeons and Dragons, and Fablehaven. The character mostly takes inspiration from the “artificer” class in Dungeons and Dragons, which is a magical craftsman. The Chill Equation: Cosine showcases a character that represents how I imagine the cosine function to be as a person. This character as well as a few other similar characters helped me remember mathematical concepts while I was studying to obtain my math minor.
